What to expect during your appointment
Naturopathic medicine takes a holistic approach, and works by understanding your entire health history. There’s plenty we can learn through listening, and when you have an appointment with us, either a Naturopathy consultation online or an appointment in our clinic, we’ll ask you lots of questions about your health history. Understanding your health history, lifestyle and environment helps us get to the root of your health concerns, and treat the cause, rather than focusing on your symptoms. We’ll use all of the information we’ve gathered during your appointment, to create a tailored treatment plan.
Our plans are unique to your body and your health, and may include naturopathic medicine, herbal tonics, lifestyle and nutritional advice.
Functional Pathology Testing
Together with a comprehensive consultation, KORA's commitment to clients in achieving optimal health often includes functional pathology testing to identify & treat underlying causes. Testing is specific to each person, and this gives us the relevant information we need on dysfunction, imbalances, deficiencies, overgrowths in the body on a deeper level.
Functional testing options that may be recommended in your consult:
Stool test (gut microbiome mapping)
Vaginal swab (vaginal microbiome mapping)
Urine test (complex UTI screening, thyroid cofactors)
Blood test (for general health like iron, vitamin D, B12, thyroid function etc.)
Saliva test (female hormones, male hormones, stress hormones)
